At City Gear Auto Parts, we are committed to delivering your parts safely and efficiently. This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping methods, delivery times, costs, and procedures.

Shipping Coverage

We ship to all 50 states within the United States. Currently, we do not offer international shipping. For deliveries outside the continental US (Alaska, Hawaii), additional shipping charges may apply.

Shipping Methods

We use reputable freight carriers to ensure your parts arrive safely. Shipping methods include:

  • Freight Shipping: Used for engines, transmissions, and other large/heavy items. Delivered to commercial addresses or freight terminals.
  • LTL (Less Than Truckload): For medium to large parts that don't require a full truck.
  • Residential Delivery: Available with liftgate service for an additional fee.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times after your order ships:

  • Continental US (East Coast): 3-5 business days
  • Continental US (Central): 4-6 business days
  • Continental US (West Coast): 5-7 business days
  • Alaska & Hawaii: 7-14 business days

Note: These are estimates and actual delivery times may vary based on carrier schedules, weather conditions, and other factors beyond our control.

Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation. During peak seasons or for special orders, processing may take longer. You will receive a notification with tracking information once your order ships.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Weight and dimensions of the part
  • Destination zip code
  • Type of delivery (commercial vs. residential)
  • Additional services (liftgate, inside delivery, etc.)

You will receive a shipping quote as part of your total order cost. Contact us for an accurate shipping estimate before placing your order.

Residential Delivery

For residential deliveries of engines and transmissions:

  • Liftgate service is required and included in the shipping quote
  • The carrier will deliver to the end of your driveway or curbside
  • You are responsible for moving the part from the delivery location
  • Inside delivery is not included in standard residential shipping
  • Someone must be present to sign for the delivery

Commercial Delivery

For commercial deliveries (repair shops, businesses):

  • Delivery is made to the loading dock or designated area
  • A forklift or dock equipment is typically required to unload
  • Liftgate service is available for an additional fee if no dock is available
  • Inside delivery may be arranged for an additional fee

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you will receive:

  • Shipping confirmation email with tracking number
  • Carrier name and contact information
  • Estimated delivery date

You can track your shipment using the carrier's website or by contacting our customer service team.

Receiving Your Shipment

When your part arrives, please follow these important steps:

  1. Inspect Before Signing: Carefully inspect the packaging for any visible damage before signing the delivery receipt.
  2. Note Any Damage: If you see damage to the packaging, note it on the delivery receipt and take photos.
  3. Inspect the Part: After the carrier leaves, thoroughly inspect the part for any damage.
  4. Report Issues Promptly: Contact us within 48 hours if you discover any damage or issues.
  5. Keep Packaging: Retain all original packaging materials until you've verified the part is in good condition.

Shipping Damage Claims

If your part arrives damaged:

  • Document the damage with photographs
  • Keep all original packaging
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Do not install a damaged part

We will work with the carrier to resolve the claim and provide a replacement or refund as appropriate.

Undeliverable Packages

If a shipment is returned as undeliverable due to:

  • Incorrect address provided by the customer
  • No one available to receive the shipment after multiple delivery attempts
  • Refusal of delivery

The customer will be responsible for return shipping costs. These will be deducted from any refund issued.

Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate, including:

  • Full name of recipient
  • Street address (no P.O. boxes for freight shipments)
  • City, State, and ZIP code
  • Phone number for delivery contact
  • Business name (if commercial delivery)
